In April, Designbox reopened to the public celebrating “Design Innovation :: Inventive Culture” a new vision built on 11 years of supporting the local creative scene. We celebrated the reopening with announcing that Designbox is now the first Makerbot Reseller in North Carolina. This exciting venture allows us to bring 3D printed objects to the public.

For the First Friday, we printed a variety of objects from bracelets to smart phone cases.
In addition to the gallery and Makerbot monthly features, we welcome a new coffee roaster every month to create a custom cocktail and coffee drinks using in-house brand Gamila’s Impress Coffee Brewer! Torch Coffee joined us and made a Root Beer Buzz cocktail using their Tanzania Kiboko Coffee and Krupnikas Spiced Honey Liqueur. Check out the recipe over on Gamila’s website.
