Michelle’s “Peculiar Pets” have been a dynamic presence in the Designbox shop since we opened! The pets are created with damaged vintage bedspreads and Michelle sews them on her mom’s 1959 singer machine. The pets here at the shop have a bit of attitude, a little edge and maybe a bad habit or two.
This show not only features those lovable outsiders, but a slew of snack-obsessed superheroes made from recycled sweaters. And Michelle will share more of her humorous outlook on the world through some new 2-dimensional story-based artworks based on her 3d characters.
Join us First Friday and throughout the month of October to get a little insight into some of the naughtier thoughts and habits of some seemingly cute characters. Michelle’s Peculiar Pets prove you can be cute and still be bad.
