Luke Powell has been traveling and documenting Afghanistan since the 1970’s. This latest work reflects images captured in the past three years. His photographs have been developed onto large canvases that allow for the detail of his work to be fully realized. Beautiful panoramas show the eternal vastness of Afghanistan’s landscapes while striking images of the Afghani game of Buskashi capture the tremendous intensity of a single instant. All come together to bring a more complete picture of this important country.
