Works by Eneko Las Heras
Eneko's artwork can be described as anecdotal. The subject matter is a distant reference for the artist. In this way the tree, the fish or the instrument cease to be a complex figure and become simple with the most basic and essential references. The search for the essential is one of Eneko's obsessions.

Humor is another of Eneko's fundamental traits. In his drawings and paintings he deconstructs the subject to its most basic elements. The elements are weaved in a formal discourse of subtle relationships.

For this show, the centerpiece will be a series of drawings called "Los Mœsicos" (The Musicians). Other samples of his works will also be exhibited along with an audio-visual presentation of some of his paintings and his new works in Flash for digital media. Curated by Inaki Zubizarreta [db].

The Designbox Gallery is dedicated to promoting the expression of creative and collaborative work. It is home to a number of creative professionals and is located at 323 W. Martin Street (between Harrington and Dawson streets), near Glance Gallery, White Rabbit, Stuff Consignment, Humble Pie and Mosquito. We're open weekdays from 10am to 6pm, and on most First Fridays.
